The text tells the entire story of Elvis' Sun-era career, detailing every recording session and live gig played during the time, illustrated by not only a wealth of rare and unpublished images but also unique documentation including, for the first time ever, Steve Sholes' original notes on the Sun tapes.

The 3xCDs include every known Elvis Presley recording made between 1953 - 1955 - private recordings, studio masters / outtakes and live performances, as well as interviews and other spoken word material. Featured among them are 10 previously unreleased cuts.
